How it all started
Compare africa was conceptualized in 2021 by members of Jean Edwards Consulting who were frustrated by the lack of access and transparency in the insurance industry in Nigeria. They realized that many Nigerians were not buying insurance because they did not understand the products or did not trust the insurance companies.
Determined to change this, the founders decided to create a platform that would make it easy for people to compare insurance products and make informed decisions about their coverage. They spent months researching the industry, building partnerships with insurance providers, and developing a user-friendly platform that would meet the needs of Nigerian consumers.
In April of 2023, Compare africa officially launched, offering Nigerians a new way to shop for and buy insurance. Since then, the company has continued to grow, expanding its product offerings and partnering with more insurance providers to provide even more options to its customers. Today, Compare africa is one of the most trusted names in insurance comparison and sales in Nigeria, helping thousands of Nigerians protect their families and their assets with the right insurance coverage.
