1. Cancellation of Insurance Policies

1.1 Cancellation Request: Customers may request the cancellation of an insurance policy purchased through compareafrica.ng. Cancellation requests can be made by contacting our customer support team via email at support@compareafrica.ng or through the contact details provided on our website.

1.2 Cancellation Period: The ability to cancel an insurance policy (without a charged fee) and the applicable cancellation period would be on a pro rata basis assuming the cancellation falls 14days after the policy purchase . Customers are advised to review the policy documents and terms and conditions provided by the insurance company for details regarding cancellation.

2. Refunds

2.1 Refund Eligibility: Eligibility for a refund is determined by the terms and conditions of the insurance policy and the policies of the respective insurance company. Refunds are processed on a pro rata basis if it falls after 14 days of policy purchase.

2.2 Refund Processing: To request a refund, customers should contact our customer support team. We will facilitate the refund request with the insurance company on your behalf. Refunds are typically processed in the original payment method used for the policy purchase.

2.3 Refund Timeline: Refund processing times vary depending on the insurance company's policies and may take several business days to complete.

Note: The date of termination or cancellation is effective the date compareafrica.ng notifies the Insurance company.

4. How complaints are handled

  • Once a complaint is received, the Customer Services Team shall acknowledge receipt of the complaint within 30mins – 1hour.
  • All complaints will be resolved within 24 working hours or more (depending on the nature of the complaint).
  • For exceptional cases where a complaint takes a longer time to be resolved, the Customer Services Team will keep the complainant informed of the status on a regular basis.


The following other options are available for the client/complainant in case the resolution is not satisfactory:

  • Complaint / Petition to Nigerian Insurance Association.
  • Complaint / Petition to Petition to the National Insurance Commission’s Complaints Bureau
  • Litigation

5. Changes to this Policy

compareafrica.ng reserves the right to update or modify this Cancelations and Refund Terms of Use Policy at any time.
